"...at Sandown two West Aussie four year olds, Pago Rock and Like and Eagle, had not even a struck match between them. However the Moody-trained Pago Rock has the advantage of three local runs. We also note that our current darling, Power O'Raylee, is in at the Valley at 9.15 on Friday evening.

Best Bet: Brisbane Race 6 - TAB No. 9 (Tomboy) WON $2.50
Best Each Way: Melbourne Race 2 - TAB No. 8 (Total Attraction) WON $5.00
Best Longshot: Melbourne Race 4 - TAB No. 7 (Royal Mail) WON $3.60

Total Attraction also beat second top rating SILENT ATTITUDE ($18) 2nd.

Royal Mail's next best was PERSIAN STAR ($8) 3rd.

PROST, second rated to Tomboy, ran 3rd at $8.

This is the best system I've ever seen for consistency (~ The Optimist) .

Raylee wins again for us.

"... in the last race Mythical got quite near likely (and justifiable) favourite Power O'Raylee, which has been very good to us. A fair price about Power O'Raylee would be hard to resist. Mythical lost her plate during her last race."

Power O'Raylee won easily ($3,20 best) after a clever ride by the premier jockey. They ran 1-2 and using an AB Trifecta the return would have been over $300 in their home state.

Second top Two Year Old rating (one point) Driefontein won the big one after a protest. Top rating Amorino might have won with a better start - ran a great race under the hopeless circumstances.

We boxed the Three Year Old Magic Millions Trifecta in the four top ratings and it paid in excess of $500.

SEVENS? Yes and Better!

The Rationale named TOTAL ATTRACTION WON (easily) at $8.00 at Caulfield. Only three horses were named in the day.

The horse was available at $8.50 and even $9.00 for a time in betting activity.

We're on track for 2012, no worries!

How to Finish a Year.

Our BEST BET NEW DAY RISING WON $4.30.

It was no fewer than EIGHT ratings points clear of its field - a very rare thing.

And our BEST EACH WAY was lipped on the line at $7.00.

And THAT'S how we finished the year.

Not many other methods can boast this (they might say it, but where can you find their results? - The Buccaneer's selections stay online permanently, so you can go back and look any time).

In the Group One event at Ascot the Buccaneer found Playing God to be a decent chance of repeating, hence he's the longshot for today. He was on top with 20, from Luckygray and King Saul both on 19, and Ranger on 18.

The Quinella paid around $50 and the Exacta $100.

The Trifecta was in excess of $300.

In the four rated races, second rated HER DIAMOND ROCK WON $12, WONDERFUL LASS WON $12 and was rated in Brisbane, along with the Trifecta at more than $120.

And in the final race at Rosehill the Quinella paid $50, the Exacta $80, the Trifecta $360 and the First Four paid a whopping $9000 and more.

Top rating SISTER MADLY won $4.00 and second top rating NIWOT (one point below top) won $9.00 gave Buccaneer followers plenty of satisfaction on Saturday.

THEFT won for the Rationale, maintaining its successful rate of win selections.
