Equestrian and its team of analysts were heavily involved in database assembly for a major product and service launch back in mid 2007.

Our computer experts had been testing and re-testing almost daily, entering data and interrogating the powerful database.

Then, from out of nowhere, they came across an angle which they called . . .

We literally stumbled on it by accident.We were testing a set of historical criteria which had never been part of any assessment programme.

We ran a series of ‘what if’ questions, and the results looked quite astounding. Further refinement, testing and further checks produced a series of qualifying conditions that nobody would attempt to do manually.

That’s why HorsePower is not a system – it would take literally weeks to work out selections without the aid of our database management programme.

HorsePower considers fitness, recent performance, ability to win, consistency and class – in fact ALL the key factors that determine a horse’s chances of winning – but not just one horse – every horse in the field – just like a rating’s method EXCEPT it is NOT a rating’s method either.
