A trip to New Zealand to try to snare an elusive Group One victory is next on the agenda for sprinter Swift Alliance, winner of Saturday's Listed Razor Sharp at Randwick.

The five-year-old made light of his top weight of 60 kilograms to run down Keen Commander at the 200 metres and go on to record a 1-1/2 length win.

Kanzan made ground from back in the field to finish third another half-length away.

"He was up a lot in weight but he dropped dramatically in class from Melbourne," trainer Gai Waterhouse said.

"There is a sprint race in New Zealand that looks suitable for him."

The Telegraph (1200m) is at Wellington's Trentham track on January 22.

Swift Alliance is raced by Eduardo Cojuangco's Gooree Syndicate and has won eight of his 14 starts.

He was third across the line in the Group One Galaxy earlier this year and subsequently promoted to second when Ortensia was disqualified due to a positive swab.

Swift Alliance's 60kg was the second highest weight carried to victory in the Razor Sharp (1200m) with champion Takeover Target lugging 61 in 2007.

Waterhouse and stable jockey Nash Rawiller rounded out the day with the second leg of a double when Fusakeo won the Big Six Jackpot Handicap (1300m).

Waterhouse said the five-year-old could be added to her team for next month's rich Magic Millions race day.
