More than 90% of TAB customers have backed super mare Winx to salute again in the Chelmsford Stakes on Saturday.
TAB says it has taken multiple bets of $5,000 on Winx at $1.20 with the weight of money firming her into a sizzling hot $1.15.
“Punters are starting to look at Winx the same way in which they approached Black Caviar, both from a punting and worshipping perspective,” says TAB’s Nick Quinn.
“Hopefully there is a big crowd in attendance at Randwick on Saturday and the fans can cherish the moment by watching her record her fifteenth career victory.”
Punters are casting wide in the Tramway Stakes with Dibayani ($5.00) leading the way with 20% of the market, the $4.60 favourite Happy Clapper and Le Romain ($6.00) both with 19% of the money while there has been a little support for Sons of John at $15.
In the feature at Moonee Valley, the Dato Tan Chin Nam Stakes, Tosen Stardom has been heavily backed with 47% of the money, firming from $6.50 to $5.00.
