Peter Moody will launch a two-pronged attack on Saturday’s ATC Sires Produce

Peter Moody will launch a two-pronged attack on Saturday’s ATC Sires Produce, which will feature Golden Slipper winner Overreach. Moody plans to tackle the Group 1 race with last start Caulfield winner Weinholt and So Man Up, which debuted with a comfortable win at Cranbourne late last month.

Weinholt, a seven length winner on debut, over-raced when seventh in the VRC Sires Produce, but the Group 2 race yesterday produced Champollion to win The Schweppervescence.

At his subsequent start Weinholt overcame a slow start and several traffic issues before gaining a last stride win at Caulfield.

So Man Up, a son of High Chaparrel, was most impressive as came from near the rear of the field to win well at Cranbourne.

Moody will also take his exciting colt Il Cavallo to Randwick for the $125,000 Kindergarten Stakes (1100 m) on Saturday.

Connections paid a Golden Slipper late entry fee for Il Cavallo, which was second emergency for the $3.5 million race and did not gain a start.

Il Cavallo smashed the 900 metre track record at Sportingbet Park at his only start.
