IT SAYS: The two minor codes have organised a meeting at the Marburg Showgrounds from noon on Sunday to voice disapproval of their treatment under the merged control body, Racing Queensland Limited. RQL formally began life on July 1 last year as harness and greyhound officials voted to come on board for the amalgamation concept, after receiving guarantees the future of racing venues was assured. But RQL chairman Bob Bentley subsequently presented plans to sell Albion Park and cancel a stand-alone greyhound track at Logan.

Bill Dixon, chairman of harness racing's Breeders, Owners, Trainers and Reinsmen Association, said his members had no confidence in the present system.
