Michael Walker is back in Melbourne and fully geared up for his return to riding...He prepared for his return to Melbourne with four weeks of riding across New Zealand, which generated a handful of winners. That helped regain confidence, while also affirming that he made the right call having the operation. "My last day riding in New Zealand was last Wednesday and I felt like I was young again,” the seasoned 28-year-old said. “I really feel rejuvenated, strong and how I felt when I was younger...The hip seems 110 percent. I decided to start riding in New Zealand to get my fitness up and my eye back in, which I have now, so I’m really looking forward to getting back and started against the big boys over here...I didn’t want to come back and be unfit and fat and have people judge me. I did leave on a high, so I wanted to come back and be able to hopefully get results straight away.
