Queensland jockey Corey Gilby has died after being severely injured in a fall in a post-meeting trial at Saturday's Julia Creek race meeting in north Queensland. Gilby, 25, died on Monday in Townsville Hospital. Early reports say Gilby's mount fell when its bandages were loosened approaching the finish line.
