The Caulfield course proper will undergo a full renovation following next year’s Caulfield Cup. The resurfacing will be the same as the 2005 project, and will mean Caulfield will be out of action throughout the 2014/15 Summer period.

Racing will return to the track for the 2015 Blue Diamond meeting in 2015. Six of the eight meetings normally run at Caulfield during this period have already been transferred to Sportingbet Park (Sandown), with the other two moving to Moonee Valley.

The track works are in line with the club’s commitment to racecourse management, specifically to supplying racing industry participants and punters with the best conditions possible.

The renovation is one of several significant capital expenditure projects scheduled for the coming year, the majority of which will be dedicated to development of new and improvement of existing members’ amenity and facilities.

The proposed Caulfield resurfacing follows similar renovations currently underway at Sportingbet Park, where racing is scheduled to return in February, 2014.
