Returning off a spell since mid-February, the Scone 5YO (1) Braggart 4/1 should be slick enough to dominate in race 7, a BM60 (c&g) hdcp 1100m at Wyong on Thursday. Braggart’s overall ratings give him a clear advantage over his rivals. This will be his first start since his 2nd/13 in a BM70 at Muswellbrook 1280m on Feb 16. He was btn a nose by Star of Dubai. Braggart has had 2 starts at 1100m and won both. He’s a winner on Dead and Heavy going (no runs on Slow) so he shouldn’t be troubled by the expected Slow-7 conditions. Serge Lissnyy claims 2kgs and this gets Braggart in with 59kgs – that’s up 3.5kgs on his latest start but he is significantly down in class. His 1st-up form looks good enough.
