Gai Waterhouse has put Dreamscape over the obstacles to switch him on for his clash with weight-for-age heavyweights Racing To Win and Vision And Power in the Group Two Warwick Stakes at Randwick.

It is a tactic Waterhouse has employed successfully with the four-year-old before and she says she finds that colts and entires particularly respond to the change in their routine.

"He went over the jumps this morning and I couldn't be happier with the horse," Waterhouse said.

"It just sharpens those big entires up and keeps them on the ball.

"It's good for them."

The lightly-raced Dreamscape has contested stakes company in five of his six starts, winning two of those as well as an open handicap over 1200 metres at Randwick when he resumed last month.

He followed that with an even seventh to Teasing in the Missile Stakes in which Waterhouse felt he failed to handle the drop back to 1100 metres.

"I think he just didn't cope with coming back in distance," she said.

"I think he's a real miler (1600m) and we're setting him for the Epsom.

"The 1400 metres tomorrow should be right down his alley."

Dreamscape was the $3.60 TAB Sportsbet favourite on Friday ahead of Court Command and O'Lonhro ($4.80) and Racing To Win at $5.

While that trio is all either resuming or have had just one run back from a break, Dreamscape will be having his third run this time in and Waterhouse is hoping it could give her charge the edge.

"I do see it as a big advantage, he's fit," Waterhouse said.

"He's a very burly sort of horse, he's a really magnificent horse Dreamscape, he's got the strength and the bulk."

In what is shaping as a competitive betting race, eight of the 11 Warwick Stakes runners are at $13 or under with TAB Sportsbet with only staying trio Zavite and Go Cart ($201) and The Chieftain ($301) given little winning chance.

Waterhouse will have runners in all five stakes races on Saturday highlighted by More Joyous in the Silver Shadow Stakes (1200m) and the up-and-coming Swift Alliance in the Show County Quality (1200m).
