Money will have no bearing on whether Black Caviar fronts up against Frankel in England later this year.

Melbourne Cup-winning owner Sheikh Fahad has offered to boost his sponsorship of the Sussex Stakes (1600m) on August 1 to STG1 million ($A1.56 million), an increase of STG700,000, to entice the world's two best horses to Goodwood.

Moody said he appreciated the cash injection but as always the mare would come first and the primary English targets were the Diamond Jubilee and the July Cup.

But he said if the clash was going to happen, Goodwood looked to be the best track in England for Black Caviar to be tested at 1600 metres for the first time.

"It's a big race and worth a million but we race for that here," Moody said.

"I was approached by the Goodwood people about two or three months ago and have discussed it with them.

"I have looked at tracks over there and I think Goodwood would be the best option out of the English tracks to try her at 1600 metres.

"But the first priorities are the Diamond Jubilee Stakes at Ascot and the July Cup.

"If she gets through those we have to think about whether it would jeopardise the Manikato Stakes and the Patinack back here in the spring and the Hong Kong Sprint.

"If we stayed there for the race in August they could be ruled out."

Horses coming back to Australia from England are subject to quarantine on return.

Before she goes to England for Royal Ascot in June, Black Caviar is expected to have at least one lead-up run in Australia, most likely in Adelaide.

"I plan to give her a jumpout on the 19th of this month," Moody said.

"It's no secret I'm leaning to Adelaide and either the Sportingbet Classic or the Goodwood but we will wait and see how she is."

The Group One Sportingbet Classic is at Morphettville on April 28 with the Goodwood two weeks later.

Frankel's trainer Sir Henry Cecil said the Sussex Stakes which Frankel won last year would be the obvious race for the pair to meet with his horse to step up to 2000 metres after that.

Sheikh Fahad, who owns 2011 Melbourne Cup winner Dunaden, said he hoped the plan came to fruition.

"The sport is blessed to have two such outstanding horses competing at the same time and consequently we felt it would be remiss not to make every effort to try to bring about the race everyone wants to see," he said.
