I've Got Talent is expected to make amends for a disappointing last-start effort at Rosehill on Saturday.

The Guy Walter-trained five-year-old lines up in the Bacardi Breezer Handicap (1500m).

He is coming off a flop at Rosehill on October 24 when he was favourite but finished near the tail of the field in a 1400-metre race won by Innings.

That performance came after a first-up third at Rosehill over 1100 metres two weeks earlier.

Carrying topweight of 59kg, I've Got Talent rocketed home from last at the turn to finish just a half-neck from the runner-up Empire Place who was only a long head from the winner Conquering Queen.

"He ran a terrific race first-up," Walter said.

"He was ridden closer from a wide gate (12) second-up and didn't run as well.

"He's a horse who does sprint well fresh but once gets over more journey he's inclined to race a bit closer and his last run was disappointing.

"I'm expecting an improved performance on Saturday."

I've Got Talent has barrier nine and will be ridden by premier jockey Hugh Bowman.

The last time Bowman rode the horse was at Rosehill over Saturday's distance in May and I've Got Talent won.

Three of I've Got Talent's six career wins have come with Bowman in the saddle, with two of those at Rosehill.

Trainer Anthony Cummings has Supernova in the race and is expecting a strong run.

Cummings said the five-year-old has benefited from a recent freshen-up.

He returned from a 25-day break with a two-length fifth to Snow Alert over 1600 metres at Randwick before running a close third to Brilliant Light at Rosehill on October 31 in a 1400-metre race.

"The freshen-up was good for him, he eats better and holds a bit more condition and is racing better for the sake of that, he'll go well," Cummings said.

Supernova has two wins and five placings from 22 starts with his last win coming in February at Warwick Farm over 1300 metres.

In-form two kilogram-claiming apprentice Brenton Avdulla has the ride on Supernova who has the limit weight of 53kg.

Avdulla rode a winning double at Canterbury on Wednesday with one of those the Cummings-trained Big Sai Wan.

The 18-year-old Avdulla's brace at the inner-city track matched his feat at Randwick last Saturday when he booted home the first two winners.
