Joe Pride is eagerly awaiting Tickets' first start for his stable in the Premiere Stakes but punters have latched onto popular mare Hot Danish.

Hot Danish went up at $1.95 with TAB Sportsbet on Thursday but has been slashed to $1.60 on the eve of her spring return at Rosehill.

The seven-year-old mare won the Group One All-Aged Stakes and Doomben 10,000 at her most recent starts prior to a spell, and has won six from seven when resuming.

While Hot Danish's seven rivals look to be up against it in Saturday's Group Two 1200m feature, Pride has been pleased with what he's seen from multiple stakes winner Tickets since he joined his team from Peter Moody.

"He looks like a nice horse and works like a nice horse," Pride said.

"All those things are in place so we'll just see how he goes on Saturday with a bit of pressure on him.

"All the indications are good ... I'm looking forward to seeing him under race conditions."

Tickets raced under the care of John O'Shea in Sydney as a two-year-old before being transferred to Moody in Melbourne for his three-year-old season.

Owner Peter Moran sent Tickets to Pride with the mission to try and win a Group One sprint with the four-year-old entire.

The son of Redoute's Choice is a Group Two winner at two (Pago Pago Stakes) and three (Phar Lap Stakes) and was runner-up in the Group One AJC Sires' Produce Stakes and Champagne Stakes as a two-year-old.

With no Group One sprints in Sydney during the spring, Pride said Tickets could head to Melbourne for a race down the straight at Flemington.

"There's the possibility of taking him to Melbourne for a straight race but if we don't we're looking more at the autumn," Pride said.

"It's a bit of a get-to-know-you preparation."

Tickets has finished second in his two barrier trial appearances ahead of his return while Hot Danish impressed winning an 802m heat at Warwick Farm last Friday.

Hot Danish, winner of 14 of her 25 starts, is one of the most popular horses in training and trainer Les Bridge said it was a great thrill seeing the reception the mare gets at the track.

"You don't get horses like that very often," Bridge said.
